How to import the .vcf file
iPhone or iPad
- Send the .vcf to yourself (AirDrop, email, or save it to Files/iCloud Drive).
- Open it on the iPhone, tap the share icon, then Contacts.
- Tap Add All Contacts. To import on a computer instead, open icloud.com/contacts, click the plus button and choose Import Contact.
Android
- Copy the .vcf to the phone (Downloads folder or Google Drive).
- Open the Contacts app, go to Fix & manage (or Settings), then Import from file.
- Pick the .vcf and the account to save the contacts to.
Google Contacts
Open contacts.google.com, click Import in the left menu, choose the .vcf file, and click Import. The contacts sync to every Android phone signed in to that account.
Outlook and macOS Contacts
macOS Contacts: File → Import and choose the .vcf. Outlook on the web: People → Import contacts accepts CSV; Outlook desktop opens .vcf files one card at a time, so for large lists import into Google Contacts or iCloud and sync from there.
Tips for a clean conversion
- Phone numbers: include the country code (+1, +44...) so they dial correctly abroad. Excel can turn long numbers into 1.23E+10; format that column as Text before saving.
- One name column? Map it to Full name; we split it into first and last name for you.
- Accents and non-Latin names: save the CSV as CSV UTF-8 in Excel, or upload the .xlsx directly.
- Google or Outlook exports are recognised automatically, including columns like Phone 1 - Value and Business Phone.
